Violations are broken down into the situations these accounts were in when they were caught exhibiting anomalous behavior:

Abnormal Encounter Behavior: Accounts that exhibited bannable behavior during Encounters.
Abnormal Mining Behavior: Accounts that exhibited bannable behavior while mining.
Abnormal Anomaly Behavior: Accounts that exhibited bannable behavior in anomalies.
Abnormal Transaction Behavior: Accounts that had exhibited bannable behavior participating on the market.

These accounts range from individual accounts or multiboxers using scripts/macros/synchronizers to large real money trading operations (where they operate a larger number of accounts), which work on illegally grinding ISK to sell for money, which isn't allowed.
