Event Introduction

To enhance Capsuleers' competitive skills and provide more opportunities for interaction and practice, EVE Echoes will host the 2024 Starbreak: Corporation League.

As this is the first competition, the official may make temporary adjustments to the schedule and rules, among other things, in response to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure factors to ensure the best experience and fairness for participating Corporations.

This League is also a trial run, marking the beginning of our efforts to make it a long-term experience. During the event, if you encounter issues or have any suggestions, please feel free to provide feedback to us, Capsuleers. Let's work together to improve the competition step-by-step.

Registration Link

Corporations meeting the requirements can click the registration button on the Event Page in the game to register immediately after the registration opens.

Note:

Registration must be done by the CEO or a Director on behalf of the Corporation.

The registering Corporation must have been founded for over 30 days.

The Corporation must have over 50 members.

The Corporation must have over 30 Omega Capsuleers.

General Description

1. The competition will feature 16 Corporations. Registered Corporations must have been established before October 20 and have more than 50 members.

2. In the player registration list, the top 8 teams from the latest Inscription of the Galaxy leaderboard will be prioritized, with the top 4 from each of the two leaderboards. The remaining slots will be filled by selecting highly active Corporations from the registration list and then randomly picking from them.

3. The competition adopts a single-elimination format. Teams are randomly assigned by the official draw and will compete in four stages: Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the Final and Third-Place Playoff. To introduce a level of randomness, the matchups for the Quarterfinals and Semifinals matches will be re-determined randomly.

4. The competition adopts a no-loss mode, with each match being a battle between 2 Corporations. Each Corporation can send up to 30 players.

5. Each match has a fixed duration of 60 minutes. If the time limit is exceeded, the match will automatically end, and the final result will be determined based on the combat scores of both sides.

6. The schedule may be adjusted temporarily based on the final number of registered Corporations after the registration ends.

Competition Mode

After negotiating the time, both sides can initiate a Clash through the button on the event page. The Clash will enforce the Corporation's no-loss mode, with no battleship tonnage limit and 30 players per side.

1. The Clash mode requires someone with Corporation authorization to initiate and accept the match on behalf of their Corporation. Therefore, the Corporation Leaders need to negotiate and set the time at least 24 hours in advance for the Round of 16 and the Quarterfinals.

2. The Clash time must be within the dates specified by the official. The official will strictly limit the available times for each round to Saturday or Sunday. If a Clash is scheduled outside these times due to unforeseen circumstances, the official has the right to declare it invalid.

3. At the agreed time, members of both sides can enter the battlefield from Stations, Personal Citadels, and Corporation Citadels.

4. In the no-loss mode matches, players can re-enter the match multiple times after their ship is destroyed. However, be aware that as the match progresses, there will be a Cooldown Time for re-entering the battlefield, with a maximum wait time of 300 seconds. So, plan your strategy in the match accordingly.

5. If one party initiates a Clash request, but the clash has yet to take place, the inviting party may cancel the Clash and reissue the invitation.

6. Before the end of each round, the matched parties must initiate a Clash. If neither side initiates a Clash within the round, both will be considered to have forfeited and thus defeated.

7. If the invited party refuses the match or delays until the invitation expires, the inviting party will be declared the winner. If both sides successfully initiate a match but no one participates, resulting in no score changes, the inviting party will be declared the winner.

8. If both teams forfeit the previous round, resulting in an odd number of advancing teams, a bye may occur in the next round according to the random pairing rules. In this case, the team with the bye will advance directly to the next round.

9. The results and match details will be announced on the Event Page [Schedule] at the corresponding position after each round.

After registration, each Corporation will elect one representative to form the "Judgment Committee." In case of disputes during the match, the remaining non-participating Corporation representatives will make decisions through voting.
